Santorum and Planned Parenthood

The main reason I started this blog was to protest the endorsement that CatholicVote.org gave Rick Santorum.  He is a Catholic, yes.  But he is a poor conservative, and he certainly does not deserve the Catholic vote.  I have attacked him before on his blatant disregard for St. Thomas Aquinas’ Just War Theory, as well as for his policy of picking winners and losers by subsidizing the manufacturing industry with taxpayer money (these reasons among many others).

As if his support of endless immoral war is not enough to deter Catholics from voting for him, I recently found out that Santorum voted for a bill that gave Planned Parenthood money (watch the video here.)  When asked why he supported Planned Parenthood, Santorum immediately starts insulting the person who asked him the question and attacking Ron Paul.  Typical, rude Rick.  He justified voting to give Planned Parenthood money because “it was part of a big bill.”  So obviously there must have been something in that bill that, in Rick’s mind, was good enough to fund the organization that has been directly involved in the murder of unborn children for years.  What that was,   who knows. But one thing is for sure: CatholicVote.org did not do their homework before they endorsed.  You should email Brian Burch (brianburch@catholicvote.org) and let him know he made a mistake.  He doesn’t listen to me.
