Why Romney Got Spanked

George W. Bush was president from 2000-2008.  He was a Republican, so consequently, he ran on “small government” principles, at least initially.  However, in those 8 years alone, he almost doubled our national debt.  He started (and prolonged) two wars, and neither war was executed with a declaration from Congress.  He ballooned Medicare and the Department of Education.  He brushed aside the fourth amendment with his passing of the Patriot Act.  He paid hundreds of billions to bailed out companies that should have failed.  By all accounts, Bush was not a small government president.  He was a moderate at best, a Teddy Roosevelt progressive at worst. Santorum: What Right to Life?

As a Catholic, I believe life is the most precious gift we’ve been given.  As a libertarian, I believe that life is the most important of our natural rights that the government exists to protect.  All other rights extend from this existential right.  We should put politicians in office who protect this right. Santorum and Planned Parenthood

The main reason I started this blog was to protest the endorsement that CatholicVote.org gave Rick Santorum.  He is a Catholic, yes.  But he is a poor conservative, and he certainly does not deserve the Catholic vote.  I have attacked him before on his blatant disregard for St. Thomas Aquinas’ Just War Theory, as well as for his policy of picking winners and losers by subsidizing the manufacturing industry with taxpayer money (these reasons among many others).
